Interstate standard GOST 13996-1995 CERAMIC FACADE TILES AND CARPETS FROM THEM. TECHNICAL CONDITIONS
This standard applies to ceramic facade tiles and carpets made from them, intended for cladding plinths and walls of buildings and structures. For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
Facade ceramic tiles are a flat, thin-walled, glazed or unglazed product made from ceramic or slag-containing mass, used for external cladding of walls, wall panels, plinths of buildings and structures.
A carpet of ceramic tiles is a set of tiles glued to a sheet of paper, designed to make installation easier.
A "breccia" carpet is a set of pieces of free-form tiles glued onto a sheet of paper.
Terms and definitions of defects on the front surface of ceramic tiles are given in Appendix B.
