Application area
This standard specifies a test method for determining the release of lead and cadmium from glazed tiles and slabs.
Essence of the method
The glazed surface of a ceramic tile or slab is exposed to a solution of acetic acid and the amount of lead and cadmium passing into the solution is determined using the appropriate method.
