The Shakhty faience factory was built in 1964 and its first products were earthenware products: sets, mugs, vases, washbasins, as well as art ceramics. After 14 years, a workshop for the production of ceramic tiles with a capacity of 1.4 million square meters opens at the plant. m of facing tiles per year. In 1998, production was expanded and the plant was renamed Stroyfarfor OJSC. We have our own distribution network. As a result, Stroyfarfor was the first to establish the production of ceramic granite in the Southern Federal District. In 2011, the company went bankrupt. The plant's property was put up for auction in May. In June 2011, Shakhtinskaya Ceramics LLC acquired the assets of the bankrupt Stroyfarfor OJSC for 1.4 billion rubles. Previously, Shakhty Ceramics used the Stroyfarfor space on a lease basis.

Currently, Shakhtinskaya Ceramics LLC is part of the Unitile group of companies. The number of employees is more than 1200 people.

Shakhty tiles are the most popular brand (according to a study by the NT agency) among consumers and professionals in the construction market of Russia and the CIS countries.
