TILES AND CERAMIC SLABS. Part 2. Sizing and surface quality. German edition EN ISO 10545-2:1997 (ISO 10545-2:1995)
This standard establishes a method for determining the dimensions (length, width, thickness, deviation from straightness of edges, deviation from squareness, deviation from flatness of the front surface of the tile), as well as the surface quality of ceramic tiles and slabs.
For ceramic tiles and slabs with an area of less than 4 cm2, the length, width, deviation from straightness of edges, deviation from rectangularity and deviation from flatness of the front surface of the tile are not determined.
When measuring length, width, deviations from straightness of edges and deviations from squareness, existing protruding edges, drops of glaze and other irregularities, which remain invisible after sealing the seams of laid ceramic tiles and slabs, are not taken into account.
