Application area
This European Standard specifies a test method for determining the substrate bond strength of cementitious mortars for ceramic tiles. This European Standard applies to all cement-based mortars, with or without additional components, for gluing ceramic tiles to walls and floors, for exterior and interior use. This European Standard does not contain requirements or recommendations for bonding ceramic tiles.
Note : Mortars and adhesives for ceramic tiles can also be used for gluing other types of tiles (natural stone, concrete blocks, etc.), if the properties of these materials are not deteriorated by the solutions and adhesives
