Application area
This standard specifies a test method for determining the thermal resistance of ceramic tiles and slabs when exposed to alternating temperatures under normal operating conditions.
Note : Requirements for the performance of ceramic tiles and slabs and other necessary information for these products are contained in ISO 13006 “Ceramic tiles and slabs. Definitions, classification, characteristics and labeling (under development).”
Essence of the method
Determination of the resistance of whole ceramic tiles or slabs to alternating 10-fold exposure to temperatures of 15 °C and 145 °C.
