Since 2002, UkrRosKaolin has been engaged in the extraction and sale of potassium-feldspathic mixture - alkaline kaolin - from the Ekaterinovskoe deposit (Donetsk region, Ukraine), the reserves of which amount to 1.5 million tons. It has its own railway access track and has a well-equipped material and technical base for logistics operations. Alkaline kaolin is used in the composition of ceramic masses, glazes, engobes in the production of: ceramic tiles, ceramic bricks, porcelain and earthenware products, sanitary ceramics, electroporcelain.
UkrRosKaolin is a production site of the UNITILE holding. The field is located in the Volodarsky district of the Donetsk region of Ukraine, 120 km southwest of the city of Donetsk and 50 km northwest of the city of Mariupol. In August 2007, the enterprise reached its design capacity for mineral extraction - 100 thousand tons. The thickness of the industrial strata ranges from 2 to 25.5 meters, averaging 8.85 meters. Primary alkaline kaolin is mined by open-pit mining. There are prospects for increasing reserves of alkaline kaolins through the commissioning of new promising areas within the Ekaterinovsky granite massif.
