Once again we are convinced that our industry lives and develops, growing with the actions of young talents. Not long ago, while wandering the Internet in search of interesting events from the world of ceramic tiles, we came across an interesting article - “Experiments with tiles” (O. Tinkov’s portal, TINKOV.com) dated July 18, 2013. It tells about the young entrepreneur Rustam Khafizov, the creator of the unique “SanViz” terminal, a device with which visitors to a ceramic tile store can independently create a design project for their premises.
“SanViz” is designed as an information terminal, similar to Qiwi terminals. It contains a program for independently creating a 3D design project. Since most houses in Russia are panel houses, which means they have standard bathroom layouts, there are not many options for tile layouts. The program turned out to be simple and intuitive for the user; it does not require additional training and almost any store visitor can master working with the terminal. Thus, SunViz could replace the work of a designer on a standard project and provide an alternative to expensive professional software products, where their resources and functions are largely unclaimed.
Intriguing, isn't it? Interested in the question, we contacted Rustam, got acquainted with his projects and invited him to our community! Now a few words about our hero. Rustam was born in the village of Uchaly in the Republic of Bashkortostan. Studied at MSTU named after N.E. Bauman. I started doing business while still studying. Computer graphics attracted me. Drawings, three-dimensional models... and then our own 3-D visualization studio. In 2011, the idea appeared to create 3D projects in automatic mode for bathrooms. In 2012, the first terminals were presented at the MosBuild exhibition...
And this is where we will probably stop. Because then the harsh reality of Russian business begins. They write about it in the same article on the business portal. They say that the product did not receive sufficient distribution, although it was designed for the mass consumer and the sales volumes in the end were not those that were expected. And in general... how relevant are such developments for sellers of ceramic tiles?
You can look for answers to these questions, but, frankly speaking, you don’t want to; we’ll leave that to marketers and potential investors. I would like to point out something else. The idea and entrepreneurial initiative of the young man and his like-minded people were ultimately realized. “SanViz” exists, it works (by the way, at 3dplitka.ru you can find the online version of the program for websites). There are buyers who, according to the developer, respond positively to the product. If so, then the project can be considered successful. After all, the need to create something new, the desire to achieve the intended goal and self-confidence are the components of the success of any enterprise. We, with all our hearts, wish Rustam not to stop there, and to our readers, inspired by the example of this young man, to implement their projects to make our lives a little better.
