CERSAIE exhibition logos

Every year a new logo is chosen for CERSAIE. To this end, as part of the event, a “Beautiful Ideas” competition is held for aspiring architects and designers in Italy, the winner of which presents a logo for next year’s exhibition. Thus, in 2012, the competition was won by Luigi Capraro, a student at the ISIA Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche - Faenza. According to Luigi Capraro, when creating the logo, he tried to rely on typical human behavior and simple actions that people usually perform. In particular, the author was inspired by the process of drying clothes, a simple and familiar action, while all the objects are clearly presented and easy to identify. With his work, the author wanted to present the image of tiles as a part of everyday life, something that many people live every day. The colors of the image make a clear reference to Italy's position of importance and prestige in this area.

In 2013, the competition was won by the young designer Valentina Algeri, a student at Arte & Messaggio school. Valentina wanted to convey the connection between people and ceramics with its logo. Hands are dressed in tiles, like a second skin, which emphasizes the fact that ceramics, whose history goes back many centuries, is evolving and allows you to create the most complex and modern forms. Thanks to the use of bright colors in the image, the viewer's eye immediately focuses on the hands, which stand out against the white background with their texture.

The authors of the Le Forme dell Arte logo, which in Italian means “forms of art” and winners of the competition in 2014, were designers Elena Del Prete (Elena Del Prete) and Guglielmo Gennari (Guglielmo Genarri). We are looking forward to the opening of CERSAIE 2015 to hear first-hand commentary on the idea behind the 2015 logo.

Dividing the exhibition center into sectors

The territory of the CERSAIE exhibition is divided into sectors, indicated on the map by a certain color. Of course, this is done to make it easy for guests to navigate. Each color of the sector has its own name, for example, the Ceramic floor and wall tiles sector is highlighted in orange. Here guests can see the latest in ceramic tiles, porcelain stoneware, clinker, mosaics, and decorative elements. The yellow sector of Non-ceramic flooring and wall-covering products will attract the attention of those interested in marble, natural and artificial stone, wood, parquet and laminate. For those who want to see the latest plumbing equipment, as well as fireplaces for the interior, you can go to the Sanitary installation area, indicated on the map in blue.

High Ceramic Fashion Week

The exhibition has long been dubbed “a week of high ceramic fashion”, since it is here that designers and manufacturers create and set certain fashion trends. For example, in 2014, natural images and natural textures became especially popular. Most factories have used the expressiveness and originality of untouched natural beauty to create truly spectacular and stylish designer images. Take, for example, the Inedito collection from the Italian manufacturer La Faenza Ceramica. This collection was in great demand and attention from all visitors. The tiles were designed in a very original way and presented in the form of aged ceramic parquet. The peculiarity of such tiles is that thanks to the use of unique modern printing and production technologies, the tiles received a very naturalistic and expressive design. It looks as if the varnish layer has worn away over time, and the natural colors of the wood have faded and faded. But the Italian factory La Fabbrica pleased its fans not only with spectacular ceramic tiles, but also with a new line of wallpaper. The development and production of wallpaper is a new direction for the company's development. And here she did not miss the opportunity to show her own, unique style and character, which was always distinguished by its unique originality. Another new product that amazed all visitors was ceramic tiles produced under the world famous Tonino Lamborghini brand. The tiles are produced jointly with the Italian factory Gambarelli, which has long been known in the world market of facing materials. Among the assortment presented at the exhibition, special attention was paid to the Interlagos collection of ceramic parquet, which is decorated in a traditional red and black color scheme. These colors have long become a symbol of Lamborghini sports cars, which made the brand famous.

As at previous exhibitions, the theme of nature conservation was present among many ceramic tile manufacturers. In confirmation of this, a palette of textures and imitations of wooden surfaces and drawings of rare stones reproduced on ceramics were widely presented. Combinations of any tiles that imitate natural wood continue to be relevant. It is worth noting that the “tree” took up space on the wall, both with 3D decor and simply as a background. This was clearly demonstrated by the Marazzi and Ragno factories. The Vintage theme was outlined by the Sant Agostino factory, which differs from all other manufacturers in its elegance and restraint of decorations and backgrounds. The recently popular ART DECO style was vividly presented by the Ceramica Grazia factory with its Venice collection. The theme of minimalism is also in wide demand in Western Europe and America, namely, the large format characteristic of this style, a variety of shades of gray with a minimum of decor and a minimum range of surface textures.

Ceramica Amica Directory

On the occasion of the CERSAIE exhibition in 2013, EDI CER Spa published a guide entitled Ceramica Amica. Ceramica Amica is 24 pages that reveal all the secrets of ceramic tiles and their use in the interior. The Ceramica Amica Directory provides all the information you need to choose the right Italian ceramic tiles and purchase them wisely and consciously. The directory consists of two sections. The first section explains what modern ceramic tiles are, the factors that make Italian ceramic tiles superior to other countries' manufacturers. The second part demonstrates eight different options for using tiles in rooms (living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, terrace, outdoor areas, swimming pools, etc.). The third part gives tips on laying, cleaning and caring for ceramics. For those wishing to familiarize themselves with the reference book in more detail, there are publication options in Italian, English, French, Spanish, German and Russian. For convenience, the publication is presented in electronic form on the official website www.cersaie.it .
