The solution or glue is applied to both the base and the back surface of the tile. According to EN 12004.
Note : The total thickness of both layers should not exceed the recommended maximum thickness. Ceramic tiles or slabs are laid after application, but before a film begins to form on the surface of the mortar or adhesive.
