Extruded ceramic tiles and slabs (stranggepresste Fliesen und Platten): Ceramic tiles and slabs cut to a given length from a strip formed by an extruder from a plastic mass. According to EN 14411.
Note 1 . In this standard, extruded ceramic tiles and slabs are classified as “precision” and “natural”. The classification depends on various technical indicators given in Annexes A – F and R.
Note 2 . Traditionally, extruded ceramic tiles and slabs are called "double-layer extrusion" and "single-layer extrusion" tiles and slabs. They are designated as double and single slabs and tiles. The term "single-layer extrusion tile" only refers to extrusion tiles and slabs with a maximum water absorption of 6%.
Note 3 . Extruded ceramic tiles and slabs are marked with the letter “A”.
