Cohesive break in base or slab (CF-S or CF-T)

The gap inside the base is designated CF-S (Appendix A, Figure A.5); a gap inside a tile or slab is designated CF-T (Appendix A, Figure A.6). According to EN 12004.

Note : In the latter case, the strength of the solution or adhesive is greater than the strength obtained as a result of testing.
