Single-sided application or float method

The mortar or adhesive is applied only to the substrate, usually using a trowel to obtain an even layer, followed by a notched trowel. According to EN 12004.

Note : Ceramic tiles or slabs are laid after application, but before a film begins to form on the surface of the mortar or adhesive.
