Pigments and glazing materials are purchased from well-known Spanish and Italian companies: Esmalglass SA, Colorobia SA, Colorobia SRL, Fritta SI - leaders in the European ceramic industry. The production of ceramic building materials and their sale throughout the country has made the Sokol ceramic plant one of the leading manufacturing enterprises in Russia. Many years of experience in the production of ceramic tiles combined with the best Italian traditions, the latest Spanish equipment and high-quality raw materials are the key to quality work.

The plant was founded in 1907 and is located in the city of Dedovsk, Moscow region.
More than 100 years ago, for the construction of a spinning and weaving factory and barracks buildings for workers, two ceramic factories were created: Novikova and Katkova. The first was located near the village of Talitsa (on land purchased from the merchant K.I. Guchkov), as a result of which it later received the name “Guchkovsky”. And the second one was on the outskirts of the future holiday village Malinovka and worked only until the construction of the factory was completed. Red clay from local mines was used as a raw material for bricks. The finished material was delivered to the construction site via a narrow-gauge railway specially laid for this purpose. Even now in the city of Dedovsk you can see old brick buildings, including administrative and social ones, which are almost the same age as the settlement. In 1926, the Guchkovsky ceramic plant was launched on a permanent basis.
So he worked until the very beginning of World War II, when production was completely stopped, and the building itself was being prepared for explosion. However, the line was defended and the buildings were preserved for the subsequent restoration of production. In the post-war years, the Guchkovsky ceramic plant acquired important economic importance. It produced large-sized ceramic blocks used in the construction of seven “Stalin skyscrapers” in Moscow. In 1950, the plant began producing facing ceramics, which were used to decorate many other high-rise buildings in the capital, as well as some metro stations. In the mid-90s, a complete reconstruction of the workshops was carried out at the Sokol plant. During the process of changes, Italian equipment was installed for the production of large ceramic tiles using monocottura (single firing) technology. Thanks to the quality and reasonable price, which was achieved due to high asset turnover, the plant’s products have become very popular. Further expansion of production allowed the ceramic plant in 1998 to master and launch into mass production a wide range of various decorative ceramic elements: panels, borders and others. Reconstruction of workshops and modernization of production continued in the 2000s. Due to this, the Sokol ceramic plant is today one of the leading manufacturers of ceramic tiles in the country.
