The Quartz plant was founded in 1990 on the basis of workshop No. 1 of the Leningrad Ceramics Plant (LZKI), a manufacturing giant in the city of Nikolskoye. In 2002, a new management structure was created at the enterprise, the reconstruction of the production complex was completed: the old line for the production of facing tiles was completely dismantled and modern technological equipment from the Italian company SACMI, a world leader in the production of equipment for the production of ceramic tiles, was installed. The entire conveyor line, over 323 meters, is fully automated. At each stage of production, computer systems control and maintain all specified quality parameters. The line capacity is 3.5 million square meters of tiles per year and 3 million pieces of decorative elements per year. The tile manufacturing technology is designed to use domestic raw materials. For production, high-quality domestic raw materials are used - Cambrian clay, which is mined near the city of Nikolskoye. Frits and dyes are supplied by leading global companies: FERRO, COLOROBBIA, ESMALGLASS, SICER. In 2007, it became part of the Unitile Holding.
Currently, the Quartz plant is undergoing a major overhaul. Production has been temporarily stopped.
According to RN Ceramics, a new trademark QUADRINI CERAMICS has appeared on the ceramic tile market. The tiles are produced at the Kvarts ceramics plant in Nikolskoye, Leningrad Region.
