Ditra

It is a polyethylene film equipped with a special structure with square recesses cut into it. The laminated fabric applied on the back serves to secure the mat in a layer of tile adhesive applied to the base. On the upper side, adhesion to the tile adhesive occurs in the cut-out recesses. Can be used for both interior and exterior work. The working principle of the innovative Schluter-DITRA membrane : the coating and the base can move relative to each other along the separating layer, and the system does not delaminate! The series includes the following membranes: DITRA, DITRA-XL, DITRA-DRAIN, DITRA-SOUND, DITRA-HEAT.

Product advantages:

  • Isolation . Schluter-DITRA neutralizes stress between the substrate and the tile covering.
  • Sealing . The Schluter-DITRA membrane is waterproof and protects the substrate from moisture.
  • Steam pressure compensation . The Schluter-DITRA mat has air channels on the back side that serve to compensate for water vapor pressure.
  • Load distribution . Schluter-DITRA maintains the integrity of the lined surface when exposed to dynamic loads. Tests were carried out in laboratory and field conditions, including using road transport.
