Biography

Giorgio Armani was born in the small Italian city of Piacenza, which is famous for its unique cuisine and ancient architecture. As a child, Armani dreamed of becoming a doctor and pursued his cherished dream with all his might. He entered the prestigious University of Bologna, but after two years of study he realized that he had made a mistake and did not want to devote his life to medicine. After 2 years of military service, Giorgio is hired by a large Milanese department store, La Rinescente, as a window dresser. After some time, the owners of the establishment paid attention to the outstanding employee, and Armani began to quickly move forward up the career ladder. It was in this place that our today's hero first understood what his soul was about. Armani truly enjoyed putting together collections and selecting various models, and after a while he began to create his own sketches. In 1961, Giorgio was hired as an assistant to the famous Nino Cerutti.

Six years later, Armani's career is experiencing a new round. During this period, our hero works with the most famous masters of Italy. Since 1970, Giorgio has collaborated simultaneously with several Italian fashion houses as a fashion designer. The beginning of the great Italian master’s star journey is considered to be 1974, when Armani launched his own clothing line. Currently, the product range of Giorgio Armani SpA consists of lines of men's and women's clothing, shoes, bags, watches, glasses, jewelry, fragrances and cosmetics, furniture and home goods.

Cooperation with Roca

The Giorgio Armani Group has long had the idea of ​​creating a unique global bathroom concept that would include both basic elements and original details. They soon managed to find an ideal partner in all respects in the person of Roca. The product of the work of two leaders in their field is the emergence of a special style that shapes the image of a luxury bathroom. The concept borrowed a unique design from Armani, while Roca, in turn, endowed it with its thoughtfulness of details and careful choice of materials. The exclusive Armani/Roca concept was first released in 2010. To this day, it is continuously updated and is popular with designers from all over the globe.

The main principle of the Armani/Roca concept is the division of space into zones.
According to the authors, the bathroom should include a wellness area (bath and/or shower), a beauty area (sinks and furniture for them), as well as an area of ​​basic needs (wall-hung toilet, bidet). The distribution of such zones can be modified: they are either combined into a single space or separated by special partitions. The collection includes a wide selection of details in the same Armani style, making it possible to create a harmonious space. The collection is presented in a number of colors; the signature color of the Armani House is Greige (gray-beige).
