Preparation of the base is the most important preparatory stage of facing work. Ceramic tiles can only be laid on a high-quality, prepared base. The surface must be smooth, without defects (depressions, bulges, sagging, cracks, etc.), homogeneous and resistant to destruction. In the case of facing rooms with high humidity, the use of waterproofing materials is mandatory. In addition, the base must be dry, clean, dust-free and free of grease stains.
