Volga Federal District The Volga Federal District (VFD) includes 14 federal subjects, its territory makes up 6.06% of the territory of Russia, and the population is 20.32%. Demand for ceramic tiles in the region is growing steadily due to the active pace of housing construction. Ceramic tiles and porcelain tiles are traditionally popular for finishing kitchens and bathrooms, but it is also worth noting the interest in the latter in light of its use in ventilated facade systems. Ventilated facades made of porcelain stoneware can increasingly be found on the streets of cities in the Volga region. In private housing construction, ceramic materials are also used in the exterior, although hand-molded facing bricks, clinker terrace tiles or terracotta tiles are still very rare.
